During the work a special service ran from Wednesbury Great Western Street to Wolverhampton Station, which included battery operation and single line running.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_57002\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/1.wednesbury-aw.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57002\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-57002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/1.wednesbury-aw-550x303.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"303\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-57002\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Stop boards in place at Wednesbury Great Western Street with the line from there to Edgbaston Village closed during the morning.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_57003\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/2.58-aw.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57003\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-57003\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/2.58-aw-550x294.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"294\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-57003\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">58 stands at Wednesbury Great Western Street with pantograph down. Trams were running on battery power between Wednesbury Parkway and Wednesbury Great Western Street with them terminating at the usual Birmingham bound platform.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_57004\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/3.58-aw.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57004\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-57004\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/3.58-aw-550x288.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-57004\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The depot is on the right as 58 runs wrong line from Wednesbury Great Western Street to Wednesbury Parkway.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_57005\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/4.58-aw.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57005\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-57005\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/4.58-aw-550x296.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"296\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-57005\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The tram then uses the crossover the depot side of Wednesbury Parkway to gain the correct track again, from where it also resumes operation on overhead power.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_57006\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/5.tiptonjcn-aw.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57006\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-57006\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/5.tiptonjcn-aw-550x296.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"296\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-57006\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">To be known as Tipton Junction when it opens, this is where the trams from the current line and the Black Country line will be joining.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_57007\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/6.tiptonjcn-aw.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-57007\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-57007\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/6.tiptonjcn-aw-550x294.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"294\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-57007\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The proximity of the new junction to the depot can be seen in this image.
