The past week has seen not one but two trams depart from Wednesbury Depot, with the Harry Needle storage facility at Worksop believed to have been the destination for both.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Its been a while since we\u2019ve reported on tram moves involving West Midlands Metro trams but that hasn\u2019t been because they\u2019ve been staying put, but more that its no longer that newsworthy no-one seems to notice when it happens!<\/p>\n<p>But this week has seen two on the move. As always these are from the original 2013-5 batch of trams, which continue to be swapped in and out of off-site storage whilst depot redevelopment works progress meaning there is less space available at the Wednesbury facility.<\/p>\n<p>The two latest moves saw <strong>36<\/strong> leave late on Tuesday 14<sup>th<\/sup> January and then that was followed by <strong>34<\/strong> on Friday 17<sup>th<\/sup> January 2025. <strong>34<\/strong> had been used in service quite frequently up until the start of November after which time it hasn\u2019t been noted in action.<\/p>\n<p>The last update of trams we had from Worksop saw <strong>25<\/strong>, <strong>29<\/strong> and <strong>37<\/strong> at the Nottinghamshire facility but this may now be out of date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It looks like a new year\u2019s resolution of the West Midlands Metro is not to stop moving their trams around!
