{"id":56842,"date":"2025-01-07T18:00:07","date_gmt":"2025-01-07T18:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=56842"},"modified":"2025-01-07T13:16:35","modified_gmt":"2025-01-07T13:16:35","slug":"seaton-tramway-look-ahead-to-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=56842","title":{"rendered":"Seaton Tramway look ahead to 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seaton Tramway\u2019s 2024 season has now come to a close (last trams ran Sunday 5<sup>th<\/sup> January 2025) and now they are starting to look ahead to a packed 2025 season of events. 2025 will see the tramway celebrate its 55<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary whilst they will also be taking part in the nationwide Railway 200 events.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The anniversary of the tramway will be on 28<sup>th<\/sup> August, with that day in 1970 seeing the very first public services run between Riverside and Bobsworth Bridge. There will be special events to mark this occasion in August but that is not all to look forward to on the tramway over the next year.<\/p>\n<p>The break in services is only a brief one as the first trams will run in public service again for the February half-term week. A daily service runs from 15<sup>th<\/sup> to 23<sup>rd<\/sup> February and its then weekends only during March. Daily operation starts on 29<sup>th<\/sup> March and runs all the way until the main end of the season on 2<sup>nd<\/sup> November. There will also be a Winter service again between 27<sup>th<\/sup> December and 4<sup>th<\/sup> January 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The three colour timetable will be used again. The Yellow service runs in February and weekends until 23<sup>rd<\/sup> March (every 20 minutes 1000-1600) and then from 29<sup>th<\/sup> September to 2<sup>nd<\/sup> November. The Blue service (every 20 minutes 1000-1700) is in use 29<sup>th<\/sup> March to 25<sup>th<\/sup> July and 1<sup>st<\/sup> to 28<sup>th<\/sup> September with the peak Pink service (every 20 minutes 1000-1700 please peak extras) running 26<sup>th<\/sup> July to 31<sup>st<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the normal service there are a number of special events and experiences returning for 2025.
