This has since been fixed but the trams have still remained stationary as North Lanarkshire Council \u2013 who own the museum \u2013 have been looking to fill a vacancy on the technical side. Hopefully, this will soon be filled though as they have recently posted a vacancy for a Tram and Historic Vehicles Technician.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The role \u2013 which is permanent and would be a 35 hour week \u2013 pays between \u00a329,180 and \u00a331,737 per year. Not only would the successful applicant have responsibility for the trams and tramway, but also with all museums in North Lanarkshire Council.<\/p>\n<p>It will involve a wide variety of activities that relate to the safe operation of the museum tramway and historic engineering exhibits. A knowledge of working with a range of historic vehicles is advantageous and the successful applicant should also have experience in maintenance and project planning.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are open for this role now with the deadline set for 10<sup>th<\/sup> January 2025. It is home to four trams: <strong>Glasgow 1017<\/strong>, <strong>Dusseldorf 392<\/strong>, <strong>Lanarkshire 53<\/strong> and the under restoration <strong>Glasgow 1245<\/strong>.
