With Crich, the Manx Electric Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway now having run their final journeys of the year, Blackpool\u2019s llumination Tours stopping this weekend, Heaton Park packing up for the winter later this month and the Seaton Tramway only operating in the run-up to Christmas and in the Christmas period there won\u2019t be a huge amount of action but listed here are just when and where you can enjoy tram rides for the next few years. As always please let us know through the usual channels if you notice any errors.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Beamish, The Living Museum of the North <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The museum is now in the winter season open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays only between 1000 and 1600 with last admission at 1500. The tramway will operate all days that the museum is open but please note midweek only the Town and Pit Village are open to visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Daily opening will recommence on 5<sup>th <\/sup>April 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Birkenhead Heritage Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trams operate\u00a0every Saturday and Sunday throughout the winter with the first tram from Woodside Ferry at 1300 and the last tram departing Woodside Ferry to Depot at 1630.<\/p>\n<p>Special Events: 15<sup>th<\/sup> November \u2013 24 hour Tramathon in aid of the BBC Children in Need appeal. Starting at 1200 on Friday 15<sup>th<\/sup> November with all currently available trams in Birkenhead likely to see use.<\/p>\n<p>16<sup>th<\/sup> November \u2013 See Greene Day to mark the 80<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the closure of the Wallasey tram system with <strong>Wallasey 78<\/strong> featuring heavily.<\/p>\n<p>14<sup>th<\/sup> December \u2013 Santa Special<\/p>\n<p><strong>Black Country Living Museum <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Open Wednesday-Sunday until Sunday 22<sup>nd <\/sup>December between 1000 and 1600 with one tram expected to be in service each day.<\/p>\n<p>It is then open daily Monday 23<sup>rd<\/sup>-Sunday 29<sup>th<\/sup> December (with exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day) between 1000 and 1600.<\/p>\n<p>First opening in 2014 will be Wednesday 15<sup>th<\/sup> January and the museum will be open 1000-1600 Wednesdays to Sundays until Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> March.<\/p>\n<p>Daily opening recommences on Monday 31<sup>st <\/sup>March 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackpool Tramway\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Illumination Tours will continue every night until Sunday 10<sup>th<\/sup> November. Tours depart from Pleasure Beach only from shortly after switch on each night with three trams being used most nights. The majority of tours will be operated by the Illuminated trio:\u00a0 <strong>Western Train 733+734<\/strong>, <strong>Frigate 736 <\/strong>and <strong>Trawler 737 <\/strong>although other members of the heritage fleet have been supplementing the output\u00a0on Fridays and Saturdays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crich Tramway Village<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closed for the winter. Opens for the first time in 2014 on Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup> March.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Douglas Horse Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closed for the winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>East Anglia Transport Museum <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now closed for the winter with the exception of pre-booked Santa Specials on 7th\/8th, 14th\/15th and 20th\/21st\/22nd December.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Great Orme Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closed for the winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heaton Park Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tramway operates every Sunday, with trams running 1200-1600 until the end of November, after which time it will be closed for the whole of December and January. There will be enhanced activity on Sunday 17th November with tram driving experiences, light refreshments and hopefully three trams in service (subject to availability and weather).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manx Electric Railway <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closed for the winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seaton Tramway <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trams will operate as follows in December\/January:<\/p>\n<p>6<sup>th<\/sup>, 13<sup>th<\/sup> &amp; 20<sup>th <\/sup>December \u2013 Turkey &amp; Tinsel or Mince Pie Magic<\/p>\n<p>15<sup>th<\/sup>, 21<sup>st<\/sup>, 22<sup>nd<\/sup>, 23<sup>rd<\/sup> &amp; 24<sup>th<\/sup> December \u2013 Visit Santa by Tram<\/p>\n<p>27<sup>th<\/sup> December 2013-1<sup>st <\/sup>January 2014 \u2013 limited service in operation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snaefell Mountain Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Closed for the winter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summerlee \u2013 The Museum of Scottish Industrial Life<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Museum\u00a0is open\u00a0daily between 1000 and 1600.<\/p>\n<p><em>The information provided above is given in good faith and is correct to the best of our knowledge.
