\u201cPicture in Time\u201d moves on from the Blackpool Tramway again although in this edition we feature a tram which once plied its trade on that tramway but now calls Crich home.<\/p>\n

This photograph was taken in around 1988 and shows Blackpool Pantograph 167<\/strong> just about to head under the Bowes Lyon Bridge as it heads up the line to Wakebridge and Glory Mine. The bridge was officially opened in 1988 by then Minister of State for Transport, David Mitchell, after it was donated by the Bowes-Lyon estate in 1971. It has now become a familiar sight at Crich and the backdrop of many a photo over the years.<\/p>\n

As for the tram, 167<\/strong> had not long been in service at Crich when this image was taken. It was restored between 1983 and 1985 and ran back in Blackpool for the Tramway Centenary before heading to Crich. Its been a regular performer ever since and has also managed further loan periods at the Gateshead Garden Festival, Blackpool again and Beamish.<\/p>\n
