And this time we return to Europe with a visit to Tallin in Estonia.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tallin \u2013 which is the capital city of Estonia \u2013 is home to the only tramway in the country with five routes covering a total of just over 12 miles (19.7km). Its now an electric tramway running on a gauge of 3\u20196\u201d but looking back in history and it has seen horse, steam and petrol trams and for a time also had some lines running on a 5\u2019 gauge.<\/p>\n<p>As with many systems across Eastern Europe, the system used to have a major reliance of Tatra trams and its one of those type that we see in the below image. This is no. <strong>57<\/strong> which is a Tatra KT4SU, built in 1980. With modernisation having taken place in more recent years this tram was withdrawn from service in 2013.
