This pictorial article includes a set of photos taken on the West Midlands Metro on Thursday 7th<\/sup> November. Photographer Steven Hughes concentrates on the Wolverhampton City Centre section of the line as we see trams in operation on the newest open section of the network.<\/p>\n

49 crosses Bilston Street as it leaves the original Metro line to Wolverhampton St George\u2019s (which has now been closed for over a year but is due to reopen in due course) on its way to Wolverhampton Railway Station.<\/p><\/div>\n

The headlights on 36 shine brightly in the autumnal gloom as the tram arrives onto the extension. Next step will be Pipers Row as the tram makes its way to the station.<\/p><\/div>\n

Wolverhampton Bus Station is directly behind the tram as it leaves on its way back to Edgbaston Village. Both stops on the extension provide interchange with other transport modes. The tram is 36 again.<\/p><\/div>\n

58 has advertising vinyls for Birmingham City University as we see here as the tram heads along Pipers Row.<\/p><\/div>\n

Wolverhampton Railway Station car park is behind 54 as it pulls away from the end of the line on its way back to Edgbaston Village.<\/p><\/div>\n
