{"id":55618,"date":"2024-10-08T20:00:11","date_gmt":"2024-10-08T19:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=55618"},"modified":"2024-10-08T19:43:33","modified_gmt":"2024-10-08T18:43:33","slug":"west-midlands-metro-50-derailed-after-collision-with-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=55618","title":{"rendered":"West Midlands Metro 50 derailed after collision with car"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There was major disruption for West Midlands Metro services late on Monday 7<sup>th<\/sup> and into Tuesday 8<sup>th<\/sup> October after <strong>Urbos100 50<\/strong> was derailed following a collision with a car on Bilston Road.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The collision happened shortly after 2100 when the car hit the tram at the Bilston Road island \u2013 a notorious area for both collisions and near misses. The ambulance service attended the scene and gave treatment to occupants of the car with two people having to be taken to hospital for further treatment. There were no reported injuries on board the tram.<\/p>\n<p>The impact of the collision caused one end of the tram to come off the rails leading to the suspension of services between Priestfield and Wolverhampton Railway Station.
