That city is Budapest in Hungary for a series of photos taken during 2008.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The tram system in Budapest runs on standard gauge and currently has 35 routes of which route 6 (Szell Kalman ter to Moricz Zsigmond korter) runs for 24 hours a day. There are a total of 108 route miles and trams have been in operation since 1866 (horse trams), 1887 (steam) and 1887 (electric).<\/p>\n<p>In this photo we see <strong>1355<\/strong> in what is the familiar yellow and white fleet livery of trams in the city. This tram was originally built in 1971 as a Ganz GCSM2 and was refurbished in 1998 which saw it change designation to a Ganz-Hunslet KCSV7 \u2013 one of 30 trams to be so treated.
