{"id":55408,"date":"2024-09-20T18:00:25","date_gmt":"2024-09-20T17:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=55408"},"modified":"2024-09-19T19:57:29","modified_gmt":"2024-09-19T18:57:29","slug":"picture-in-time-seaton-12-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=55408","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Seaton 12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We now move a long way south from our photos of Glasgow as we\u2019re now in Seaton for more \u201cPicture in Time\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This photo was taken in June 1984 and shows <strong>12<\/strong> standing outside of Riverside Depot on the access track into the depot building. This scene can relatively easily be identified as to how things are today although the past 40 years have seen significant development with most recently a new stop being constructed here so you can enjoy your picnic whilst viewing activity on the Axe Estuary.<\/p>\n<p>Whereas the surrounds may be recognisable the tram isn\u2019t particularly! <strong>12<\/strong> has been the most rebuilt of all trams at the Seaton Tramway and this is its second (of three) conditions. Starting off life as single decker in 1966, it was rebuilt in 1978 as a double decker, more than doubling its capacity.
