The assault happened on 20<sup>th<\/sup> July just before 2300 and saw the conductor repeatedly punched in the face as the tram was travelling between Brindleyplace and Five Ways.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>An image has been released of a man who the BTP wish to speak to in relation to the incident at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.btp.police.uk\/news\/btp\/news\/appeals\/cctv-image-released-after-tram-conductor-assaulted--birmingham\/\">https:\/\/www.btp.police.uk\/news\/btp\/news\/appeals\/cctv-image-released-after-tram-conductor-assaulted&#8211;birmingham\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman from BTP said: \u201cBritish Transport Police are today issuing an image following an assault on a tram conductor. The incident happened shortly before 11pm on Saturday, July 20 when the conductor of a West Midlands Metro tram travelling along Broad Street between Brindley Place and Five Ways was repeatedly punched in the face. Officers believe the man in the image may have information that could help their investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 884 of 20 July.
