West Midlands Metro are the latest organisation to confirm their nominations for the forthcoming Global Light Rail Awards. They\u2019re up for awards in five categories \u2013 and this includes the prestigious UK Operator of the Year.<\/p>\n

As well as UK Operator of the Year they are also being recognised for the enhanced service frequency and reliability they have introduced through a series of infrastructure projects with a nomination for Most Improved System of the Year.<\/p>\n
The planning involved during the necessary suspension of services between Wednesbury and Edgbaston to deliver the strategic infrastructure projects has also seen a nomination for Project of the Year.<\/p>\n
And individual members of the Metro team will also be on the shortlist. Carl Brazier \u2013 Tram Fleet Engineer \u2013 is up for Employee of the Year and Conor Moon \u2013 Infrastructure Project Engineer \u2013 is nominated in the Rising Stars category.<\/p>\n
