The August Bank Holiday is one of the last hurrahs of the main summer season for many heritage tramways across the UK and although the operating seasons will continue on for a little while yet (with various galas and enthusiast days the highlights) the bank holiday provides a bit of a line in the sand as the school holidays draw to a close. In this pictorial feature we are back to the East Anglia Transport Museum for some views of the trams in service on Monday 26th<\/sup> August with the sun shining.<\/p>\n

As is the norm, there was a two tram service in operation on this day and it once again had a Blackpool feel. The two trams were Marton VAMBAC 11<\/strong> and Standard 159<\/strong> and they were joined by Bournemouth trolleybus 286. The main tram depot was closed off to visitors but at the front were three further trams: Blackpool Brush 634<\/strong>, Sheffield 513<\/strong> and London Transport 1858<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
