{"id":54599,"date":"2024-07-23T20:00:03","date_gmt":"2024-07-23T19:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=54599"},"modified":"2024-07-23T19:52:12","modified_gmt":"2024-07-23T18:52:12","slug":"revised-net-service-for-nottinghamshire-pride","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=54599","title":{"rendered":"Revised NET service for Nottinghamshire Pride"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nottingham Express Transit will operate a revised service on Saturday 27<sup>th<\/sup> July to allow people to get to the Nottinghamshire Pride event as well as ensuring the Pride March can take place safely.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A special timetable will run in the morning which will see trams running up to every five minutes and then from 1030 to 1230 there will be no trams between Nottingham Station and Royal Centre. This partial service suspension is to allow the Pride march to take place safely, with it this year taking a new route through Old Market Square and Lace Market. After 1230 a normal Saturday service will then operate for the rest of the day.<\/p>\n<p>Trevor Stocker, Head of Operations at NET, said: \u201cEvery year, thousands of people come together in Nottingham City Centre in celebration of the region\u2019s LGBTQ+ community. We\u2019re always committed to ensuring that people can celebrate as safely as possible, while offering limited disruption to normal service. As such, we\u2019ll be pausing our tram service for a short window of time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know Saturday is always one of our busiest days, but the safety of all our passengers and the people of Nottingham is always our priority. These changes to our service have been made as we continue to work collaboratively with the local police services and Pride event organisers to ensure the day can run smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo support our tram users on the day, our customer experience team will also be at the Royal Centre and Nottingham Station stops to advise customers on their travel plans.
