With Notts Pride taking place on Saturday 27<sup>th<\/sup> July, Nottingham Express Transit have teamed up with Alstom and East Midlands Railway to encourage people to \u201cRide with Pride\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The vinyls on <strong>213<\/strong> are not a full wrap but as with many of the trams in the Nottingham fleet (at least the original Incentro ones anyway) it includes a full height vinyl on the centre section and then other vinyls above the windows elsewhere. Its being described as a \u201cTrambow\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>All three organisations (Alstom, East Midlands Railway and Nottingham Express Transit) are keen to take the opportunity of Pride to say they offer journeys and careers where everyone is welcome, can be their true selves and excel. They also want to promote Nottingham\u2019s transport network as a means to arrive at Pride with style with it also being more eco-friendly and sociable than driving solo.<\/p>\n<p>Peter Broadley, Services Managing Director UK and Ireland at Alstom, said: \u201cAlstom is proud to collaborate with EMR and NET to bring our vibrant \u2018trambow\u2019 to Nottingham\u2019s streets in celebration of Pride. Tram <strong>213<\/strong>\u2019s new look is a statement of our collective commitment to diversity, inclusion and the right of every individual to be their authentic self \u2013 either as a fare-paying passenger or a colleague.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy riding with Pride together, we not only celebrate the LGBTQ+ community but also promote a more inclusive public transport system across the East Midlands and beyond. We look forward to marching together at Notts Pride, symbolising unity and our shared journey towards nurturing a more fair and equal society.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Service Delivery and Safety Director, as well as being EDI Lead, at NET, Sarah Turner, said: \u201cAs a core transport provider for the city, our new \u2018Ride with Pride\u2019 tram is a vibrant symbol of our commitment to the spirit of diversity and inclusion in Nottingham. Across our network, we&#8217;re always working to make our trams a safe space for all our customers, including the LGBTQ+ community. During July, we\u2019re excited to be celebrating Nottinghamshire\u2019s LGBTQ+ community through our eye-catching new design, in collaboration with our partners Alstom and EMR, as we continue our dedication to equality and acceptance both across our network and the wider city.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Notts Pride is organised by a volunteer run charity and is the East Midlands\u2019s biggest free pride event.
