{"id":54225,"date":"2024-06-16T17:00:39","date_gmt":"2024-06-16T16:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=54225"},"modified":"2024-06-16T08:26:10","modified_gmt":"2024-06-16T07:26:10","slug":"trams-manchester-metrolink-3146-plane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=54225","title":{"rendered":"Trams &#038;: Manchester Metrolink 3146 &#038; plane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Its not often we look upwards for our \u201c&amp;\u201d image in \u201cTrams &amp;\u201d but that is exactly what we do in this edition.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This photo was taken at Shadowmoss \u2013 the penultimate stop on the Manchester Metrolink line to Manchester Airport. If your timing is lucky here then you can get images of a tram just as a plane comes in to land and that is what happened on 27<sup>th<\/sup> March 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Talking of penultimates, we see the last but one of the M5000s, <strong>3146<\/strong>, in the photo as its at the start of its journey from the Airport to Victoria. Delivered on 3<sup>rd<\/sup> September 2022 the team entered service around 15<sup>th<\/sup> October 2022 becoming one of the last two of its class to carry passengers for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>And as the tram comes away from the Airport we see an Easyjet plane just coming in to land with holidaymakers coming back from probably sunnier climbs.
