The work starts off in June and this provides a summary of service changes as a result.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Victoria \u2013 Sunday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trams from Bury will terminate at Queens Road<\/li>\n<li>Trams from Rochdale Town Centre will terminate at Monsall<\/li>\n<li>Trams from East Didsbury will terminate at Exchange Square<\/li>\n<li>Trams from Manchester Airport will terminate at Cornbrook<\/li>\n<li>Other lines will run as normal<\/li>\n<li>A replacement bus service will be in operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>London Road \u2013 Saturday 22<sup>nd<\/sup> June to Tuesday 9<sup>th<\/sup> July<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work will take place on London Road, close to Piccadilly Station, meaning there will be no trams between Piccadilly Gardens and Piccadilly.<\/p>\n<p>The following services will run Monday to Saturday:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bury to Altrincham<\/li>\n<li>Bury to Altrincham (peak service)<\/li>\n<li>Ashton-under-Lyne to Piccadilly<\/li>\n<li>Piccadilly Gardens to Eccles via MediaCityUK<\/li>\n<li>Piccadilly Gardens to MediaCityUK (peak service)<\/li>\n<li>Rochdale Town Centre to East Didsbury<\/li>\n<li>Shaw &amp; Crompton to East Didsbury (peak service)<\/li>\n<li>Manchester Airport to Victoria<\/li>\n<li>Trafford Centre to Deansgate Castlefield<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Sundays:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bury to Altrincham<\/li>\n<li>Ashton-under-Lyne to Piccadilly<\/li>\n<li>Piccadilly Gardens to Eccles via MediaCityUK<\/li>\n<li>Rochdale Town Centre to East Didsbury<\/li>\n<li>Manchester Airport to Victoria<\/li>\n<li>Trafford Centre to Deansgate Castlefield<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A replacement bus service will be in operation.<\/p>\n<p>London Road will be closed to traffic where the Metrolink tracks cross the road close to Piccadilly with a diversion in place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Altrincham \u2013 Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work takes place between Sale and Brooklands with no trams running on the Altrincham line.<\/p>\n<p>Trams will run:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bury to Deansgate Castlefield<\/li>\n<li>Ashton-under-Lyne to Piccadilly<\/li>\n<li>Piccadilly Gardens to Eccles via MediaCityUK<\/li>\n<li>Rochdale Town Centre to East Didsbury<\/li>\n<li>Manchester Airport to Victoria<\/li>\n<li>Trafford Centre to Deansgate Castlefield<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A replacement bus service will also run.<\/p>\n<p>Full details of the works are available at <a href=\"https:\/\/tfgm.com\/tram-improvement-works\">https:\/\/tfgm.com\/tram-improvement-works<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Throughout the summer months there will be a number of engineering works taking place on the Manchester Metrolink network with various infrastructure renewal and improvements required.
