Another tram which hadn\u2019t been in service long-term in Manchester is back in use once again with 3100<\/strong> having been repaired and gone through re-commissioning over the past few weeks. Its been almost two years since passengers have had the chance to ride on the tram but that has now all changed with it back in the operating fleet once more.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

3100<\/strong> was last operational on 18th<\/sup> July 2022 when it was involved an overhead line rip down in the Queens Road Depot wash road. Since then it has been stored at the depot awaiting the chance for repairs to be undertaken and continuing the recent progress on getting trams back into service (most notably 3015<\/strong> in March) it has now been returned to service. Work on its re-commissioning started at the end of April.<\/p>\n

The tram was back in service onMonday 13th<\/sup> May 2024, which makes it a gap of 665 days or 95 weeks!<\/p>\n

And 3100<\/strong> isn\u2019t the only tram to be back in service after a period out \u2013 although for 3097<\/strong> it has been a far shorter time. It was 8th<\/sup> March 2024 that it was involved in a collision with a car which saw the leading bogie come off the rails. It was back in service earlier this month.<\/p>\n

Other tram news in Manchester has seen 3031<\/strong> return to full fleet livery following the removal of the Pepsi advert \u2013 both external and internal.<\/p>\n
