The deadline for submissions for primary school children was on Monday 29<sup>th<\/sup> April and now comes the hard job of selecting a winning entry.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Sophie Allison, West Midlands Metro Managing Director, said: \u201cThe quality of submissions has been superb, and good luck to all participants and the schools they represent. It\u2019s been almost a quarter of a century since trams returned to the streets of Birmingham and Wolverhampton. and we\u2019re delighted that this competition has caught the imagination of youngsters in the West Midlands as they have a vital role to play in our success over the next 25 years!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be announced next week and the design will be displayed both on the side of trams and Metro merchandise. They will also (alongside classmates and a teacher) enjoy an exclusive VIP behind the scenes tour of the Metro depot in Wednesbury.
