There isn\u2019t room for double tracks here as the railway line between Beckenham Junction and Crystal Palace (served by Southern Railway services) takes up the remainder of the formation. The first stop we come to is Beckenham Road; there was once a railway station here although that was closed in 1860 so it can\u2019t exactly be said that this is a replacement for that, coming as it did 140 years later! Single track means a single platform and this is served by trams heading in both directions.
