{"id":52460,"date":"2024-01-27T18:00:26","date_gmt":"2024-01-27T18:00:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=52460"},"modified":"2024-01-21T10:59:23","modified_gmt":"2024-01-21T10:59:23","slug":"around-the-world-in-trams-nuremberg-1117-1005","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=52460","title":{"rendered":"Around the World in Trams: Nuremberg 1117 &#038; 1005"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One final photo from Nuremberg as \u201cAround the World in Trams\u201d continues.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>And this week we have double trams in the photo with two vehicles operating on line 8 passing what was then called the Bavarian American Hotel on Bahnofstrasse. Line 8 works between Doku-Zentrum and Erlenstegen.<\/p>\n<p>Closest to the camera on the left is <strong>1005<\/strong> which is an Adtranz GT6N, one of 14 built in the mid-1990s which this particular example entering service in 1995. Its joined on the other side by <strong>1117<\/strong> which is a later Adtranz GT8N. 26 of this class were introduced in 1999-2000 and <strong>1117<\/strong> was one of those to be used for the first during 1999.
