{"id":52002,"date":"2023-12-13T18:00:25","date_gmt":"2023-12-13T18:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=52002"},"modified":"2023-12-13T17:11:32","modified_gmt":"2023-12-13T17:11:32","slug":"metrolink-disruption-on-1cc-after-panto-damage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=52002","title":{"rendered":"Metrolink disruption on 1CC after panto damage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester Metrolink services running on the First City Crossing via Market Street and Shudehill were suspended during the evening of Saturday 9<sup>th<\/sup> December after a piece of tarpaulin got caught in the pantograph of a tram at Market Street.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>3061<\/strong> was the tram that was involved and the tarpaulin caused serious damage to its pantograph, although the overhead line itself was not damaged. The tarpaulin became loose from scaffolding around the former Debenham\u2019s stored adjacent to the Market Street stop.<\/p>\n<p>Recovery of <strong>3061<\/strong> took place after the end of service with <strong>3011<\/strong> on the rear and <strong>3126<\/strong> on the front taking the tram back to Trafford Depot. <strong>3039<\/strong> also followed the three as it had been stranded at Shudehill by the incident.
