It is set to be worked on to become a test tram for new equipment but this has yet to commence and in the meantime it has been moved on site at Dudley.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Initially <strong>16<\/strong> was placed inside the building where work had been taking place on the West Midlands Metro Urbos3 trams to replace their cracked bodyside panels. However, this was only meant to be a temporary arrangement and recently it has been moved out of the building and is now stored outside until work can commence.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst we\u2019re at Dudley, <strong>32<\/strong> and <strong>35<\/strong> remain the two trams in situ being repaired. <strong>32<\/strong> is approaching completion with <strong>35<\/strong> at an earlier stage of the repairs.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_51997\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=51997\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-51997\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-51997\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-51997\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/16-aw-550x297.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"297\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-51997\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Looking down into the Very Light Rail Innovation Centre where 16 is now stabled outside.
