{"id":51678,"date":"2023-11-20T22:00:32","date_gmt":"2023-11-20T22:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51678"},"modified":"2023-11-20T12:42:41","modified_gmt":"2023-11-20T12:42:41","slug":"in-pictures-33-on-test-in-the-west-midlands","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51678","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: 33 on test in the West Midlands"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest tram to have been returned to Wednesbury after repairs at Dudley is now back on the road to return having started tests on the mainline. <strong>33<\/strong> has been back at Wednesbury since 11<sup>th<\/sup> August 2023 when it was delivered on Bilston Road and towed back to the depot and now after further attention at the depot it has been spotted undergoing tests.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>33<\/strong> is the ninth tram to have come back from Dudley (the others being <strong>17<\/strong>, <strong>20<\/strong>, <strong>24<\/strong>, <strong>25<\/strong>, <strong>26<\/strong>, <strong>27<\/strong>, <strong>29<\/strong> and <strong>30<\/strong>) after going through the major repairs required to the trams after cracks were discovered. The other eight have all run in service although <strong>17<\/strong>, <strong>26<\/strong> and <strong>29<\/strong> have since been sent for offsite storage at Worksop.<\/p>\n<p>Back to <strong>33<\/strong> and the tram was spotted out \u201cNot In Service\u201d on 16<sup>th<\/sup> November 2023 with it initially running between Wednesbury Parkway and Priestfield before it stretched its wheels a bit further along the line.<\/p>\n<p>Another Urbos3 which hasn\u2019t been seen in service for a while is <strong>18<\/strong> and after it too was out on test last week it was in action on 15<sup>th<\/sup> November running as one of the peak time extra trams.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_51679\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=51679\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-51679\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-51679\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-51679\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/1.33-aw-550x304.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"304\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-51679\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">33 uses the crossover at Priestfield when out on test.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_51680\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=51680\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-51680\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-51680\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-51680\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2.33-aw-550x306.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"306\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-51680\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The tram is then seen at The Hawthorns when continuing its tests.
