{"id":51639,"date":"2023-11-17T18:00:12","date_gmt":"2023-11-17T18:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51639"},"modified":"2023-11-12T10:50:24","modified_gmt":"2023-11-12T10:50:24","slug":"picture-in-time-sheffield-264-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51639","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Sheffield 264"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cPicture in Time\u201d is back with another visit to the Crich Tramway Village!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>You may have noticed in last week\u2019s photo of <strong>Sheffield 189<\/strong> that following on close behind was another Sheffield tram, and its that tram which we feature in the photo below. <strong>Sheffield 264<\/strong> is another tram which has not operated at Crich for quite some time, in fact as with <strong>189<\/strong> its last Crich season was 1980 with it currently in the Great Exhibition Hall on display, <strong>264<\/strong> is three years newer than <strong>189<\/strong> having been built by Sheffield Corporation in 1937 in a slightly revised design with a domed roof one of the more obvious changes. The tram remained in service until the very last day of Sheffield Corporation Tramways \u2013 8<sup>th<\/sup> October 1960.
