{"id":51380,"date":"2023-10-21T18:00:37","date_gmt":"2023-10-21T17:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51380"},"modified":"2023-10-21T10:08:41","modified_gmt":"2023-10-21T09:08:41","slug":"around-the-world-in-trams-riga-51754","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51380","title":{"rendered":"Around the World in Trams: Riga 51754"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this latest edition of \u201cAround the World in Trams\u201d we remain in Latvia to take another look at a tram in operation on the Riga system.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In 2009 the tram pictured below was renumbered <strong>51754<\/strong> having previously been numbered <strong>5-1075<\/strong> and then <strong>5-2075<\/strong> (the first number carried when it was still a Tatra T3SU, it was later converted to a Tatra T3A). Its seen here at the head of a coupled unit with a working on route 4 on the city\u2019s tramway. With this being six years after its renumbering it would be another six years before it would again be renumbered, <strong>31751<\/strong> being its most recent number.
