There are now four different full vinyl wrap adverts on trams in Edinburgh after two trams carrying designs for OVO Energy entered service earlier this month \u2013 and its expected that there will be more advertising the same company to be seen on the streets of Edinburgh very soon. The two trams which have been caught on camera so far are 271<\/strong> and 273<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both adverts are identical and feature a fairly basic and plan design. Using a green background, once more the third and fifth sections of the tram include vinyls on the windows and this just includes the OVO logo. The rest of the tram just includes various slogans either above or below the windows: \u201cA different angle on energy\u201d, \u201cLet\u2019s get energy back on track\u201d, \u201cAn energy company that wants you to use less!\u201d.<\/p>\n

271<\/strong> was the first tram to receive the vinyls and the advert replaced a longstanding advert for Parabola My Edinburgh Park\/Edinburgh City Vision 2050 (applied September 2018). This tram had previously advertised Qatar Airways (January-July 2018) and Tiso (July 2018-September 2018).<\/p>\n

As for 273<\/strong> the OVO Energy advert has seen its revised design for Heverlee Lager removed (added June 2023). Before this it had a Johnnie Walker #jointhepact advert (from February 2018) and the first Heverlee Lager ad (October 2021-June 2023).<\/p>\n

In other advert news 261<\/strong> has also received a new advert for Scottish Rugby \u2013 replacing a previous design for Scottish Rugby\u2019s Summer Internationals. This means that 261<\/strong> joins 264<\/strong> in having had nine adverts so far.<\/p>\n
