{"id":51317,"date":"2023-10-16T21:00:32","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T20:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51317"},"modified":"2023-10-14T20:33:39","modified_gmt":"2023-10-14T19:33:39","slug":"2024-dates-announced-for-isle-of-man-heritage-lines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51317","title":{"rendered":"2024 dates announced for Isle of Man heritage lines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We may still be a few weeks away from the end of the 2023 season but that doesn\u2019t mean its too soon to look ahead to next year as the 2024 operating dates for the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway, Manx Electric Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway have all been announced along with the Heritage Transport Festival.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Manx Electric Railway will be the first of the three lines to resume operation with this being on Tuesday 12<sup>th<\/sup> March, then a week later on 19<sup>th<\/sup> March it\u2019s the turn of the Snaefell Mountain Railway to start running and then a further week later \u2013 26<sup>th<\/sup> March \u2013 the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway will open. All three lines are scheduled to run until Sunday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> November. Not all tramways will run on every day between these dates. Timetable details will follow closer to the time.<\/p>\n<p>The Manx Heritage Transport Festival returns to a six day event after the extra long festival which ran earlier this year to celebrate 150 years of the Isle of Man Steam Railway and 130<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the Manx Electric Railway.
