On we go with our look at trams around the stops of the Newhaven extension of Edinburgh Trams.<\/p>\n

The stop we reach today is McDonald Road which could lay claim to the first \u201cnew\u201d stop from the city centre as Picardy Place is in effect a replacement for York Place. There isn\u2019t a huge amount to call out after we depart from Balfour Street although when we reach Iona Street we do pass the old Edinburgh Cable Tramway pulley wheel as the modern and the historic meet. Then when we hit the stop we are in Haddington Place.<\/p>\n

Once again its an island platform that greets us and it doesn\u2019t need to be said that it basically has everything we have seen elsewhere, including shelters, ticket machines and passenger information.<\/p>\n

257 (adverts for Leonardo) is just heading away from us as it approaches McDonald Road. The stop is just in the mid-distance with the central reservation being used by some as a walkway to make their way to the tram.<\/p><\/div>\n
