{"id":51017,"date":"2023-09-18T22:00:37","date_gmt":"2023-09-18T21:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51017"},"modified":"2023-09-14T19:57:44","modified_gmt":"2023-09-14T18:57:44","slug":"in-pictures-014-joins-the-odas-fitted-trams-in-blackpool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=51017","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: 014 joins the ODAS fitted trams in Blackpool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Blackpool Flexity2 014<\/strong> has become the latest tram on the system to receive the ODAS cameras as part of the continued implementation of the new safety system.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Eight of the Flexity2 trams are now so fitted with 014 following in the footsteps of <strong>001<\/strong>, <strong>002<\/strong>, <strong>003<\/strong>, <strong>012<\/strong>, <strong>013<\/strong>, <strong>016<\/strong> and <strong>017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Those who follow these pages regularly will know that ODAS stands for the Obstacle Detection Assistance System and is a safety feature developed by Alstom. It aims to detect any obstacles on the track ahead and if it does will bring the tram to a halt.
