{"id":50764,"date":"2023-08-21T20:00:03","date_gmt":"2023-08-21T19:00:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=50764"},"modified":"2023-08-21T12:55:35","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T11:55:35","slug":"net-services-disrupted-after-lorry-hit-overhead-pole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=50764","title":{"rendered":"NET services disrupted after lorry hit overhead pole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nottingham Express Transit\u2019s run of bad luck has continued with a lorry colliding with an overhead pole causing disruption to services on the line through Beeston to Toton Lane.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The incident happened on the morning of Monday 21<sup>st<\/sup> August on Middle Street in Beeston (close to the Tesco superstore) and has meant that services between Cator Lane and University of Nottingham were suspended.<\/p>\n<p>With the lorry striking the overhead support pole it has caused some of the overhead to come down meaning that trams couldn\u2019t run through the area. The road was closed to all traffic with diversions being put in place, including for buses.<\/p>\n<p>Ticket acceptance on East Midlands Railway and Orange Line Nottingham City Transport buses was put in place to allow people to continue their journeys.
