{"id":50402,"date":"2023-07-28T18:00:08","date_gmt":"2023-07-28T17:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=50402"},"modified":"2023-07-22T12:22:13","modified_gmt":"2023-07-22T11:22:13","slug":"picture-in-time-manx-electric-railway-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=50402","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Manx Electric Railway 21"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today \u201cPicture in Time\u201d is on the Isle of Man as we feature another photo of the Manx Electric Railway from the past.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>2023 has seen the tracks at Ramsey Station reopened to service cars after the relaying of the rails across Parsonage Road \u2013 the first time since 2016 that it had been used on a regular basis. But back in 1990 it was still very much the regular place you would have been catching a tram from and that is where this September image was taken with <strong>Winter Saloon 21<\/strong> and a trailer are standing.<\/p>\n<p>At this time <strong>21<\/strong> was in the basic teak and ivory livery which it had received back in 1981. It would retain these colours until overhauled in the mid-1990s when the more standard fleet livery would be seen.
