Despite the fact that the Edinburgh Tram Inquiry report was sent to the printed at the end of April we are still waiting to find out the findings (which some may argue is a little late considering an extension has been designed, built and opened in that time). But the media aren\u2019t letting it go away quietly as the newspaper the Daily Record have recently challenged an earlier decision of Transport Scotland not to reveal the wages earnt by Lord Hardie during the inquiry \u2013 and as a result this has now been released.<\/p>\n

This has revealed that between the set-up of the inquiry and August 2021 that inquiry lead Lord Hardie earnt just over \u00a31 million. He was paid an hourly rate for work completed in this period which according to a spokeswoman from the Inquiry is the \u201cstandard fixed by the Scottish government for retired judges\u201d.<\/p>\n
