Beamish in the sun what\u2019s not to like? Obviously Beamish is a good day out whatever the weather but a little bit of warm sunshine adds that something extra to the experience and also often brings out the open top trams as everyone wants a ride on top. The last Saturday of the May Half Term school holidays saw the sun make an appearance along with a three tram service including Sunderland 16<\/strong>, Blackpool 31<\/strong> and Newcastle 114<\/strong>. Trevor Hall also made an appearance on that day.<\/p>\n

Newcastle 114 was running on the clockwise circuit and we see it here in the Town waiting to head off around the museum tramway. The tram retains its special \u201cFIFTY YEARS OF SERVICE\u201d boards.<\/p><\/div>\n

One tram ran anti-clockwise and that was Sunderland 16 which although being fully enclosed adds some much needed capacity to the tramway.<\/p><\/div>\n
