{"id":49573,"date":"2023-05-19T20:00:20","date_gmt":"2023-05-19T19:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=49573"},"modified":"2023-05-19T18:57:26","modified_gmt":"2023-05-19T17:57:26","slug":"dynamic-autostop-system-under-test-in-blackpool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=49573","title":{"rendered":"Dynamic AutoStop system under test in Blackpool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Officials from Alstom have recently been in Blackpool to test the Dynamic Autostop fitted to one of the Flexity2 trams. <strong>017<\/strong> has been fitted with the equipment and cameras for a while and the system has been under test to see the effectiveness with this latest visit being used to further evaluate it as well as film to showcase the system.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Dynamic Autostop system requires cameras fitted in the trams cabs and as suggested by its name it is a system which will bring the tram to an automatic stop if an obstacle is identified. <strong>017<\/strong> has been used as a test vehicle whilst <strong>001, 002<\/strong> and <strong>016<\/strong> have also now been fitted with both the cameras and the overall system.
