Its joined in this image by a tram which we saw it with last week – fellow Blackpool car, Standard 49. The two trams are seen here in September 1985 at Town End with the Boat Car in front and 49 behind. As can be expected the Boat is proving to be popular with visitors to the museum on this day and a quick glance behind seems to suggest that 49 is as well.

607 was on loan to Crich between April and December 1985, with it being sent to Derbyshire in part exchange for some of the trams which headed in the other direction to take part in the events to celebrate 100 years of trams in Blackpool. Of course, this would be its only visit to Crich as its now part of the permanent collection having been preserved after retirement in Blackpool, it starting to run again in 2012.

49 was already a permanent fixture at Crich and had been for over 20 years by this time.
