{"id":48915,"date":"2023-04-04T20:00:43","date_gmt":"2023-04-04T19:00:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=48915"},"modified":"2023-04-04T19:50:22","modified_gmt":"2023-04-04T18:50:22","slug":"more-trams-enter-service-at-crich","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=48915","title":{"rendered":"More trams enter service at Crich"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re now up to nine different trams having run in passenger service at the Crich Tramway Village in 2023 after a further threewere used for the first time over the past week or so.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The latest three to enter service are <strong>Sheffield 74<\/strong> (first use Saturday 25<sup>th<\/sup> March), <strong>Oporto 273<\/strong> (first use Sunday 28<sup>th<\/sup> March) and <strong>Blackpool 236<\/strong> (first use Monday 3rd April). The use of <strong>236<\/strong> is the first open car to run at Crich in 2023 so far, but isn&#8217;t quite the first use of a Boat Car in the UK this year with <strong>227<\/strong> having been used at Blackpool the weekend before.<\/p>\n<p>They join <strong>Glasgow 22<\/strong>, <strong>Blackpool 167<\/strong>, <strong>Leeds 180<\/strong>, <strong>Leeds 399<\/strong>, <strong>Sheffield 510<\/strong> and <strong>Liverpool 869 <\/strong>as having been used so far in 2023. That covers three countries and six towns\/cities with three single deckers and six double deckers having been used.<\/p>\n<p>In total at least 17 passenger trams are due to be commissioned for service in 2023 so the eight seen so far means we\u2019re only halfway there!
