{"id":48836,"date":"2023-03-28T20:00:23","date_gmt":"2023-03-28T19:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=48836"},"modified":"2023-03-28T15:55:29","modified_gmt":"2023-03-28T14:55:29","slug":"in-pictures-24-continues-to-be-worked-on-at-dudley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=48836","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: 24 continues to be worked on at Dudley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Very Light Rail Innovation Centre in Dudley is continuing to be used to complete repairs on some of the CAF Urbos3 fleet of the West Midlands Metro. <strong>24<\/strong> has been on site since January 2023 and work is continuing on completing its repairs as we seen in this short pictorial article.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re sure you don\u2019t need a reminder as to just why it is necessary for there to be repairs on the Urbos3 fleet? But just in case you do in a sentence: bodyside cracks were found on some of the class which saw the entire fleet withdrawn and it was then decided rather than repairing the current panels they would be replaced.<\/p>\n<p>The Very Light Rail Innovation Centre in Dudley (which is just a stones throw from where the West Midlands Metro line to Dudley and Brierley Hill will run) has been contracted to complete the repairs on a selection of the trams with <strong>17<\/strong>, <strong>26<\/strong>, <strong>27<\/strong> and <strong>29<\/strong> all having been completed so far. <strong>24<\/strong> will be the fifth to be completed.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_48837\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=48837\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-48837\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-48837\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-48837\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/1.24-aw-550x367.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"367\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-48837\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Through the large windows of the Innovation Centre building we see work taking place on 24.
