Ticket prices on Nottingham Express Transit are set to increase from April; although the exact rise has yet to be announced. The news that this would be happening was revealed in a verbal statement at the recent Greater Nottingham Light Rail Advisory Committee from operators Tramlink Nottingham.<\/p>\n

Andrew Conroy, the Chief Operator Officer for Tramlink Nottingham, said at the meeting that operating costs had gone up by 11% with electricity costs having increased by almost 200%. Everything has been done to minimise the rise in prices but these increased costs have meant that it hasn\u2019t been possible to prevent it.<\/p>\n
