This will include three trams planned to return to service having not been used in 2022 \u2013 and subject to testing more trams may return to service later in the year.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>With all the usual caveats to be considered, the planned passenger trams due to be commissioned are:<\/p>\n<p>Glasgow 22<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool Standard 40 (last used 2021)<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield 74<\/p>\n<p>London County Council 106 (last used 2021)<\/p>\n<p>London United Tramways 159<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool 166 (last used 2019)<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool 167<\/p>\n<p>Leeds 180<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool 236<\/p>\n<p>Oporto 273<\/p>\n<p>Metropolitan Electric Tramways 331<\/p>\n<p>Leeds 399<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield 510<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool 630<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool 869<\/p>\n<p>London Transport 1622<\/p>\n<p>Berlin 223 006-4<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the following Works Cars are being prepared for use:<\/p>\n<p>Croydon Tramlink 058<\/p>\n<p>Cardiff 131<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool loco<\/p>\n<p>GMJ<\/p>\n<p>Of those trams which ran in 2022, <strong>Chesterfield 7 <\/strong>(announced ahead of Tram Day last year as being withdrawn at the end of the season), <strong>Blackpool &amp; Fleetwood 40<\/strong> and <strong>Leeds 345<\/strong> (which was withdrawn during the season after suffering damage) are not on the list of trams which will be commissioned. But there are set to be three additional trams with <strong>Blackpool 40<\/strong>\u2019s overhaul completed and two extra open cars, <strong>London County Council 106<\/strong> and <strong>Blackpool 166<\/strong>, ready for a return to action as well.<\/p>\n<p>As well as those listed above there may be some surprises, as long as testing is successful.<\/p>\n<p>The Crich Tramway Village reopens to the public on Saturday 11<sup>th<\/sup> March. Opening dates for 2023 are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Saturday 11<sup>th<\/sup> March to Thursday 13<sup>th<\/sup> July \u2013 Saturdays to Thursdays (closed Fridays, except Bank Holidays and School Holidays)<\/li>\n<li>Friday 14<sup>th<\/sup> July to Sunday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> September \u2013 Daily<\/li>\n<li>Monday 4<sup>th<\/sup> September to Sunday 5<sup>th<\/sup> November \u2013 Saturdays to Thursdays (closed Fridays, except Friday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> November)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Thanks to Graeme Wigglesworth, Engineering Manager, Crich Tramway Village for the above information<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least 17 passenger trams and four works cars are set to be commissioned for service at the Crich Tramway Village this year.
