{"id":48461,"date":"2023-02-20T18:00:18","date_gmt":"2023-02-20T18:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=48461"},"modified":"2023-02-19T08:39:40","modified_gmt":"2023-02-19T08:39:40","slug":"trams-blackpool-balloon-700-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=48461","title":{"rendered":"Trams &#038;: Blackpool Balloon 700 &#038; bus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blackpool is our latest stop for our \u201cTrams &amp;\u201d series and whilst a lot of entries into this series recently have shown a modern tram alongside a bus, this time we go a bit more traditional with the tram.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>That traditional tram is <strong>Balloon 700<\/strong> \u2013 which although it has received B-fleet modifications is mostly used on Heritage Tram Tours \u2013 which is taking its 40 minute break on Fleetwood Esplanade when operating a Coastal Tour. This was a new innovation for 2022, which saw Coastal Tours having an extended break in Fleetwood to allow tour participants to have a drink\/ice cream or explore the local area, and it also allows more photo opportunities of said tram in Fleetwood.<\/p>\n<p>In this view that opportunity includes Blackpool Transport ADL Enviro400 City no. 422 which has just turned from Bold Street onto the Esplanade.
