The forthcoming Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2023 could see Edinburgh Trams walk away with three more awards following confirmation of nominations. Nicola Mearns, from the Marketing department, is up for \u201cYoung Business Person of the Year\u201d whilst they are also nominated for \u201cLarge Business of the Year\u201d and \u201cInnovation and Business\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nicola Mearns originally started work at Edinburgh Trams in 2018 as a tram driver but is now an Assistant Marketing Manager and in this role she has taken the lead on a number of successful marketing campaigns, including the promotion of a popular staycation ticket offer.<\/p>\n
Jamie Swift, Edinburgh Trams Marketing Manager, said: \u201cSince joining our Marketing and Communications department and completing a qualification in Professional Digital Marketing, Nicola has showed exceptional planning and organisational skills which has helped the business to better coordinate its marketing efforts. Thanks to her creative thinking and professionalism, we have been able to reach customers in a variety of new ways, reinforcing our position as a leading public transport provider.\u201d<\/p>\n
Other nominations for Edinburgh Trams include in the \u201cLarge Business of the Year\u201d category where judges have been impressed with their dedication to delivering a safe, reliable and customer-focused service whilst developing its workforce and the \u201cInnovation and Business\u201d category for the purpose-built learning and development facility.<\/p>\n
