After just over a month and 22 editions this is planned to be the last edition of \u201cThe Number 20\u201d (although never say never to it appearing again in some form!) and we end with a selection of photos of a special tram in the preservation movement.<\/p>\n

Of course Southampton 45 was the tram which started what we now know as the national collection at Crich and although currently withdrawn it has played a significant part in the history of tram preservation. In this photo dating from many years ago we see Geoff Quarmby at the controls waiting to depart for a trip up the line.<\/p><\/div>\n

A more recent photo \u2013 13th September 2014 \u2013 as 45 leads a queue of trams during the Electric 50 celebrations. While the other trams may make this photo add up to more than 20 they include Glasgow 22, Sheffield 510, Blackpool 40 and Blackpool 711.<\/p><\/div>\n

On 29th June 2013 Southampton 45 took a trip away from Crich when it acted as a Ripley Rattler during a special event commemorating that former tram system.
