The main operating season may have ended at the East Anglia Transport Museum during October but they\u2019re back for more during December weekends in the lead-up to Christmas with the Ride the Lights event returning for 2022. The museum is offering tram, trolleybus and train rides and includes after dark operating giving a different view of the historic vehicles which make up the operating fleet.<\/p>\n

Ride the Lights kicked off on the weekend of Saturday 3rd<\/sup> December\/Sunday 4th<\/sup> December and will also be running on Saturday 10th<\/sup>\/Sunday 11th<\/sup> and Saturday 17th<\/sup>\/Sunday 18th<\/sup> December. The museum is open between 1400 and 1800 on each day and includes the trams, trolleybuses and railway in operation along with the caf\u00e9 being open and all the usual displays will be available as well.<\/p>\n

With suitable decorations around the headlight, Blackpool 159 stands at Chapel Road terminus before embarking on a journey into the woods. The tram is also decorated internally for Christmas.<\/p><\/div>\n

The saloon lights are ablaze as 159 comes out of the woodland tramway and head back to Chapel Road.<\/p><\/div>\n

Sheffield 513 was also out and in service. With the light continuing to fade it too is seen coming out of the woods.<\/p><\/div>\n

Inside the tram depot and Blackpool Marton VAMBAC 11 is at rest. Amsterdam 474 is on the left and Blackpool Balloon 726 is also viewable.<\/p><\/div>\n

With the excitement of the new Blackpool trams lets not forget Lowestoft 14 which remains under restoration and is seen at the back of the depot.<\/p><\/div>\n
