{"id":46761,"date":"2022-10-15T18:00:52","date_gmt":"2022-10-15T17:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=46761"},"modified":"2024-01-18T19:44:07","modified_gmt":"2024-01-18T19:44:07","slug":"around-the-world-in-trams-vienna-2597-40421442","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=46761","title":{"rendered":"Around the World in Trams: Vienna 2597 &#038; 4042+1442"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We move from Switzerland to Austria for this week\u2019s edition of \u201cAround the World in Trams\u201d as we visit Vienna for the first of several views of the tramway in the Austrian capital.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Taken on 19<sup>th<\/sup> May 2012 this photo was taken at Karlspatz and shows the old, the new and a bus \u2013 three (or four as there\u2019s a trailer involved!) for the price of one! Closest to the camera is Wiener Linien class L1 <strong>2597<\/strong> which was out of the Erdberg museum on a private hire. Built in 1929 this tram has been part of the museum fleet since 1973 and remains operational with forays out in service.
