{"id":46574,"date":"2022-10-01T18:00:01","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T17:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=46574"},"modified":"2022-10-01T17:40:46","modified_gmt":"2022-10-01T16:40:46","slug":"around-the-world-in-trams-geneva-1801-890","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=46574","title":{"rendered":"Around the World in Trams: Geneva 1801 &#038; 890"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today\u2019s \u201cAround the World in Trams\u201d is again in Geneva as we feature two of the more modern trams to operate on the tramway there.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This photo \u2013 dated 1<sup>st<\/sup> October 2019 \u2013 was taken on the approach to Cornavin (the main railway station in Geneva). On the left we see <strong>1801<\/strong> working route 18 to CERN and its joined by <strong>890<\/strong> which is on route 15 to Nations. Of note is that <strong>1801<\/strong> will turn to the right and across the path of <strong>890<\/strong> which is routed straight on.<\/p>\n<p><strong>890<\/strong> is a 2009 built Bombardier Flexity Outlook and <strong>1801<\/strong> is a Stadler Tango ZR which entered service in 2011.
