{"id":46339,"date":"2022-09-10T18:00:02","date_gmt":"2022-09-10T17:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=46339"},"modified":"2022-09-10T14:56:10","modified_gmt":"2022-09-10T13:56:10","slug":"around-the-world-in-trams-woltersdorf-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=46339","title":{"rendered":"Around the World in Trams: Woltersdorf 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In today\u2019s \u201cAround the World in Trams\u201d we return to the Oldtimer Museum, Rugen, Germany as we feature another of the trams in the collection there \u2013 and one which has led a pretty nomadic existence!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Built in 1913 for Berlin as their no. <strong>1233<\/strong> this vehicle has carried no fewer than six numbers over the past 109 years and called three different places its home. It ran as <strong>1233<\/strong> in Berlin until 1925 when it was renumbered <strong>5617<\/strong> and remained in service there until 1962. In 1962 the tram made its first move \u2013 to Woltersdorf \u2013 which is when it first received the number <strong>11<\/strong>. 1968 saw another number change when it became <strong>16<\/strong> and then in 1978 it was renumbered once more to <strong>26<\/strong>. In 1980 it was back to Berlin and back to the number <strong>11<\/strong> and then 1996 saw a return to Woltersdorf and its last new number \u2013 <strong>A11<\/strong>.
