Series<\/a>, Darwen\u2019s former tram depot on Lorne Street was used to house steam and electric trams between 1881 and 1946. Built as a six track depot it ended its operating career with eight tracks. It is now owned by Ritherdon and Co., who are involved in the manufacturing of a variety of electrical enclosures and related products.<\/p>\n<p>The tours will not only look at the history of the company but will also provide details of trams in Darwen \u2013 the building still includes some of the old tracks too!<\/p>\n<p>There will be two tours per day between 12<sup>th<\/sup> and 16<sup>th<\/sup> September \u2013 at 1100 and 1400 with each tour lasting an hour. Admission is free but pre-booking is essential.
