To commemorate the 60<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of this, the Crich Tramway Village will be running and displaying trams connected to the Glasgow system over a four day period from 1<sup>st<\/sup> September to 4<sup>th<\/sup> September.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The operating fleet at Crich currently includes two trams which both ran in Glasgow \u2013 and they will both be taking part in the commemoration of the closure of the tramway:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Glasgow 22<\/strong> \u2013 will be in operation daily between Thursday 1<sup>st<\/sup> and Sunday 4<sup>th<\/sup> September (driver training on Saturday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> and Sunday 4<sup>th<\/sup>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Liverpool 869<\/strong> \u2013 due to run on Saturday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> September (the tram was purchased by Glasgow in 1955 where it ran as <strong>1055<\/strong> until June 1960)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition <strong>Glasgow 1282<\/strong> will be displayed outside the depots on Sunday 4<sup>th<\/sup> September.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 4th September 1962 the once extensive Glasgow Corporation Tramway system closed its final route.
